Hint: use them
If you're like me, you probably hate those generic CTAs that look like this:
They don't give me any context.
They don't inform me about what the next step is.
I have no clue what to expect after that click.
On the flip side, imagine logging onto the Allbirds site looking for shoes and seeing this CTA:
Or maybe you're thinking about selling digital products online, so you check out Gumroad and see this CTA:
Fact of the matter is that specific wins me over every time.
You should also test different copy out for CTAs and beyond, but I highly recommend using more creative and contextual copy.
