Using imagery

Powerful, but often misused

Imagery is a powerful tool when used correctly

But I see it being used in all the wrong ways.

Visuals are not there to fill space.

They exist to provide further context, pique interest, and build trust.

Regardless of what type of company you are, you can't really go wrong with including imagery for the following purposes:

  • Showing an overview of a product

  • Displaying specific features of a product

  • Putting faces to names in your social proof

You should never place visuals of any kind on a landing page if it has no specific purpose and doesn't provide context.
