How to cut content into something beautiful
Hey,
Most businesses create one pillar piece and abandon it.
They write a 3,000-word guide, hit publish, then move on to the next thing.
Tsk tsk.
I’d recommend using the Content Bonsai framework:
Step 1: Extract the Core
Pull out one insight from your pillar content. One story. One stat. One method.
Step 2: The 90-Second Rule
Rewrite that single insight as a standalone piece. Set a timer. If you can't read it aloud in 90 seconds, keep cutting.
Step 3: Platform Multiplication
That 90-second piece becomes your LinkedIn post, Twitter thread, email newsletter, video script, and podcast talking point.
Step 4: Traffic Funnel
Every bonsai version links back to your original pillar piece.
This has a multiplier effect. One 2,500-word case study becomes:
7 LinkedIn posts
4 Twitter threads
3 email newsletters
5 video scripts
2 podcast episodes
Same insights. Different containers.
Your move:
Pick your best content from last month. Extract three different insights. Turn each into a 90-second bonsai. Post them this week.
Hope this helped!
