Moment of highest intent
Big CRO lied to you about CTAs
Hey,
Every visitor has a split second where they're most open to taking action.
I call this the "moment of highest intent."
It's not when they first arrive. And definitely not after they've scrolled through your entire page.
It's that precise moment when they've consumed just enough information to be convinced, but not so much that they're overwhelmed.
For SaaS - It's right after visitors understand how you solve their problem.
For ecommerce - After seeing the product from multiple angles but before diving into reviews.
For services - When they see you've solved similar problems for similar people.
The problem is that most websites place CTAs in standardized locations:
At the very top (too early)
After every section (too scattered)
At the bottom (too late)
Don't place calls-to-action where convention dictates. Place them where intent peaks.
Study your user journey.
Watch session recordings.
Map exactly where people shift from curious to convinced.
Then put your most important conversion opportunity precisely at that point.
Hope this helps!
