Imagery as copy, boring content, + 1 more gem

3 marketing gems as usual

Hey,

A big tornado passed through our town last night — so publishing this issue a tad later than usual. Got some goodies today.

Here are 3 ideas on landing pages, copy, and content in less than 2 minutes…

This issue of Marketing Gems was brought to you by Pagetear, the fastest way for SaaS teams to get high quality copywriting help.

Focus: Imagery as copy

What’s good: Check out this launch page. The copy is so clear, but barely even present. How is that possible? Two reasons:

1) The copy itself is short, but info-packed
2) The imagery does all the talking

You still get all the context of a longer page with more dialogue, without the need to read.

2) Twist

Focus: Info organization

What’s good: Twist’s benefits section does a remarkable job of making the value of the product smooth to read — and easy to understand. Label, header, same-length subtext, focused and beautiful product GIFs across the board. Don’t forget that half of writing is organizing your writing.

Focus: Make “boring” vibrant

What’s good: Agora knows that governance isn’t a natural slippery slope to read about. The visuals and site architecture they’ve used makes reading that content so much more enjoyable. It’s clean, full of life, and designed with opinion. More of this, please.

Hope you found a gem here.
